PAYMENT:
- Payment is due on the Monday morning of each week
- Fees are due regardless of absenteeism/illness, inclement weather/acts of nature beyond our control or mandated closures.
- If fee is not paid when due, a late fee of $10.00 per day will be charged.
- Payment may be made by cash, cheque or email money transfer. Receipts will be given yearly in February.
- If a cheque is returned from the bank for any reason, a $30.00 fee will be applied and is payable immediately. If there is a repeat, only cash payment will be accepted.
- A non-refundable deposit is due upon registration that is equal to two weeks fees. The deposit will be applied to the last two weeks of care after enrollment for a minimum of one year.
DROP-OFFS & PICK-UPS:
- Parents are responsible for picking up their child(ren) at the times stated on the contract. Anything before or after those times will have an additional fee.
- Late pickups are not acceptable. It is important to pick up your child on time. Late pickups present problems for the child waiting and for the caregiver who has additional responsibilities after daycare ends. Parents picking up children after the contracted time will be charged a late fee of $5.00 per child for every 15 minutes or part of 15 minutes. The late fee will be due with the next scheduled daycare payment. A phone call or text is also required for any late pickups.
VACATION:
- Caregiver will provide a vacation schedule (by late March) for the current calendar year. Any changes will be submitted to parents within a reasonable length of time in order for parents to locate alternate childcare.
- Payment is expected for Federal/Provincial statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Truth & Reconciliation Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Boxing Day
- Daycare is closed one week in the summer, between Christmas Eve & New Year's and also for 10 additional days each calendar year (payment is required). Payment for these closures ensures that your child's daycare rates will not increase at anytime during their enrollment at daycare.
- 1-2 days paid Bereavement Leave may be required in the case of a funeral. As much notice as possible will be given to daycare parents.
SICKNESS:
- Caregiver will notify parents, as soon as possible, if unable to provide care due to illness or emergency. Responsibility for care rests with the parent(s).
- Parent(s) will be responsible for child's care in the event of the child being sick and unable to attend childcare in my home.
When one child is ill and infectious, the illness is passed along to another child and another and sometimes the child's family becomes ill. When I become ill and feel I must take time off to become healthy, my illness directly affects you and your family. This is why I ask that you find alternate care for your child when they are ill.
TERMINATION:Caregiver and Parent(s) will give eight weeks notice for termination of the childcare agreement. In lieu of notice given by parent(s), payment for eight full weeks of care will be due and payable before the child's last day in my care. Parent(s) will give eight weeks PAID notice for termination of the childcare agreement. Termination notice does not include any vacation schedule.
